TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE SUPPLEMENTAL
AGREEMENT WITH O'LEARY=SHAPER AND ASSOCIATES,
P,A►, TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR TH.E
REDEVELOPMENT OF DIXIE PARt< BASED ON A REVISED
DEVELOPMENT BUDGET OF $1, 302,000.PLUS A REVISED
CONSULTANT'S DESIGN FEE OF $114, 516 WITH FttNDS,
THEREFORE, TO BE ALLOCATED FROM THE PAR1{S
FOR PEOPLE 13oND PROGRAM AND COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCI< GRANT PROGRAMS.
WHEREAS, on October 25, 1977, the City of Miami entered into
a supplemental agreement with O'Leary -Shafer and Associates for the
professional and technical services required for the design and development
of Dixie Park with a project development budget of $1, 142, 000 plus a fixed
fee of $100, 500 for consultant design services; and
WHEREAS, the CITY has deemed it proper to expand the project
development budget to $1, 302, 000 in order to fulfill its commitment to the
residents of the Culrner area; and
WHEREAS, the increase in the project development budget will
require an increase in the CONSULTANT'S fixed fee from $100, 500 to
$114, 576;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA;
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
the attached Supplemental Agreement, reflecting changes to the Dixie Park

Association, hereinaftet called CONSULTAN1Ta
WITN ESSETH
THAT, WHEREAS, the CITY and the CONSULTANT entered into
a Supplemental. Agreement on. October 25, 1977, for the design and
development of Dixie Park with a project development budget of $1, 142, 000,
a fixed fee of $100, 500 for consultant design services: and
WIIEREAS, the CITY has deemed it proper to expand the project
development budget to $1, 302, 000 in order to fulfill its commitment to the
residents of the Culmer area; and
WHEREAS, the increase in the project development budget will
require an increase in the CONSULTANT'S fixed fee from $100, 500 to
$1 14, 576:
NOW, THEREFORE, the CITY .and the CONSULTANT for the
consideration hereinafter set forth agree and covenant one unto the other
that the Supplemental Agreement entered into between the CITY and the
CONSULTANT dated October 25, 1977, is amended as follows:
SECTION I - GENERAL
Amend the phrase ' FIXED FEE of $100, 500 to read ''a FIXED
FEE OF $114, 576."
SECTION III - PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
Amend "The total PROJECT development cost including the fee for
consultant professional and technical services, site development and building
construction is $1, 416, 576, "

Enclosed is a supplemental agreement and a resolution
for amending the Diane Park contract between the City
and the consultants, O'Leary -Shafer and Associates.
This is the second supplemental agreerrient to be made
to the original contract necessitated by an increase in
the development budget for the Park.
This material is being concurrently forwarded to the Law
Department for their review and approval.
