Cauthen has been a resident of Miami since 19255.` in 1936, he was appointed as Business Administrator at Jackson Memorial Hospital. From 1941 to 1949 he served as Chief Accountant for the City of Miami In 1949 he joined Mary Macintosh Laundry Services of Miami, where he served as Treasurer, Comptroller and a member of the Board of Directors until his retirement. He was appointed to the OffStreet Parking Board in 1961; and WHEREAS, the efforts, time and leadership :exhibited by Mr. Cauthen have contributed to the growth and development of this area; and WHEREAS, Mr. Cauthen was reappointed to the Off -Street Parking Board on October 25-, 1978 by Off -Street Parking Board Resolution No. 78-5.79, and WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of Miami that this reappointment be confirmed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The reappointment of Marx D. Cauthen to the Off- Street Parking Board of the City of Miami, Florida, for a five year term from December 2, 1978 to December 2, 1983, is hereby confirmed, pursuant to Section 23-A.1 of the City of Miami Charter.
