D O��4 OLL0'N 1I WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received November 28, 1978 for the furnishing of automotive and heavy equipment parts and accessories for use as needed, City wide, on a contract basis for one year; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to fifty-four (54) potential suppliers and nineteen (19) bids were received; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that six other vendors are single source suppliers of parts for specific equipment; namely Florida Municipal Sales-. Pak-Mor, International Harvester Co. - I.H. parts, Kelly Tractor Co. Caterpillar, H.F. Mason Equipment Co. - Leach Packers, Shelly Tractor C - Bucyrus Erie, and Tom Wood Equipment Co. - Garwood, and; WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends as most advantageous for the City to enter into annual contracts for the purchase of parts and accessories not feasible to stock, with the below listed firms, thus, insuring minimum. down time in order to return equipment to service as quickly as possible; and WHEREAS, funds for this purpose are available in the 1978-79 Operating Budget; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED.
