The acquisition of professional atchitectural;`, engineering. landsape architectural or land surveyingservices by the city shall be governed by the follotaing provisions which ate hereby incorporated within the City Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as Section 16-17 thereof: "Sec. 16-17. Acquisition of professional architectural, engineering, landscape architectural or land surveying services. (1) Definitions. (a) "Professional services" shall mean those services within the scope of the practice of architecture, professional engineering, landscape architecture, or registered land surveyor in connection with his professional employment or practice. ({ (b) The term "firm" means any individual, firm, partnership,. corporation, association, or other legal entity permitted by law to practice architecture, engineering, landscape architectural or land surveying services. (c) The term "compensation" means the total amount paid for a particular fi professional service to a ( n v Miami. �V U C��Fr� [l�� !J E /� Try ! (d) The term "departments and agencies" mearJs+ de'�a'tQents;-f,I instrumentalities or branches of the city government under the supervision of the city manager. (e) The term "project" shall mean that fixed capital outlay study or planning activity described in the public notice of the city of Miami pursuant to Sections 30 and 34 of the Charter. The .city manager shall prescribe by administrative rule, subject to approval of the city commission, procedures for the determination of a project under its jurisdiction. Such procedures may include: 1.
