Dear Mr. Grassie:

The Miami Varsity Club will be conducting a Miami Winter Festival
on February 20-25, 1979 at the Shell City Site. We are requesting
that the City of Miami allow us to block off 6th Court from 54th
Street down to 60th Street during these days.
The Miami Varsity Club is a non profit organization formed for
the purpose of promoting _good sportsmanship and to encourage and
motivate youth of our community to participate in worthwhile
activities while developing into adulthood.
In promoting this affair we plan to use the proceeds to develop
an athletic scholarship fund for underprivileged youth in Dade
County. We are hoping that you will grant us the opportunity to
fulfill this objective.
Sincerely,
T. Willard Fair
President
THE MIAMI VARSITY CLUB
