Allocation
Enclosed for your review and forwarding to the Law
Department is a draft of a resolution authorizing
the allocation of $5,000 from the Special Programs
and Accounts, Quality of Life Program/City-Wide
Events, to the Performing Arts for Community
Education (P.A.C.E.), for general support of
administrative activities.
P.A.C.E. has been providing free musical events at
City of Miami and Dade County Parks (100 at City
Parks) with the cooperation of the Department of
Leisure Services, since February of 1975, in which
they have expended over $42,000 for contracted
musicians.
Metropolitan Dade County has appropriated $10,000
for support of this service and it is therefore
recommended that the City of Miami also offer its
support by this allocation of $5,000.
