SAME ON TWO SEPARATE DAYS BY A VOTE OF NOT LESS
THAN POUR-1;IFTH$ oP THE MEMBERS Ot` THE COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 8716, On
October 26, 1977, establishing resources and appropriations for the
implementation of capital improvements in the City of Miami, Florida,
for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1978; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 8874, Amendment No. 7 to Ordinance No.
8716, is the Capital Improvement Appropriations Ordinance for fiscal
year 1978-79; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Fire requires additional funds in
the amount of $300,000 to accomplish the apparatus replacement and
modification program; and
WHEREAS, monies for the training facility were scheduled to be appropriated
from the Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention and Rescue Facilities;
Bond Program during the next fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the Coconut Grove Incinerator is now .available as a
possible site for this Training Facility contingent upon a structural
eva.uation and feasibility study; .and
WHEREAS, the cost of said study is estimated tp be $20.,000;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA;

Attached is an amendment to the Capital Improvement Appro-
priations Ordinance for making adjustments in the 1975 and
1976 Sanitary Sewer General Obligation Bond Fund needed
to fund the bid awarded by the Commission for the Pines
Sanitary Sewer Improvement SR-5450 awarded January 18, 1979;
and by establishing a new project for Lawrence Pump Station
Modifications; also making; adjustments in the 1970 Storm
Sewer General Obligation Bond Fund.
A request to dispense with the requirement of reading on
the amendment to the Capital Improvement Appropriations
Ordinance No. 8716 on two separate days has been requested.
