WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 8716, On October 26, 1977, establishing resources and appropriations for the implementation of capital improvements in the City of Miami, Florida, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1978; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 8874, Amendment No. 7 to Ordinance No. 8716, is the Capital Improvement Appropriations Ordinance for fiscal year 1978-79; and WHEREAS, the Department of Fire requires additional funds in the amount of $300,000 to accomplish the apparatus replacement and modification program; and WHEREAS, monies for the training facility were scheduled to be appropriated from the Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention and Rescue Facilities; Bond Program during the next fiscal year; and WHEREAS, the Coconut Grove Incinerator is now .available as a possible site for this Training Facility contingent upon a structural eva.uation and feasibility study; .and WHEREAS, the cost of said study is estimated tp be $20.,000; NOW, THEREFORE.
