Ongie City Clerk OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK/City Hall/3500 Pan American Drive/Miami, Florida 33133/579.606S 3 CITY O, MIAM!, FLORIDA p INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM TO Joseph R. Grassie City Manager F'R Ohl Chief H. W. Brice, Director Department of Fire DATE March 6, 1979 SUt3JL it E1-1:PLN. f S Rescue Administrative Offices Information Package LNCLOI/fu (Information Package) Attached is an informational package on the Fire Department's use of the property at 2301 N.W. 23 Street. The facility houses our Rescue Administration and Training Center and is imperative to our depart- ment's operation. Mr. Isidoro Rodriguez and Mr. Orlai.do Urra suggest, in their letter of February 27, 1979, that our Rescue Division Headquarters be moved to Station #5, at N.W. 12th Avenue and 20th Street. This would be ex- tremely disruptive inasmuch as Station #5 already houses two pumpers, one aerial, and 15 Fire Fighters on a 24 hour shift basis. There is inadequate space to house the Rescue Division Administrative Offices, drugs and equipment storage, Orange Bowl scooters, spare Rescue, class- room and Emergency Medical Technician training aids. At this time, the Fire Department must maintain the facility at 2301 N.W. 23 Street for its present use.
