WHEREAS, sealed bids were received February 20, 1979
for BUENA VISTA COMMUIJITY DEVELOPMENT PAVING PROJECT - PHASE
III and BUENA VISTA SANITARY SEWER MODIFICATIONS - PHASE III,
BID "C"; and
WHEREAS, the City 6anager reports that the $25,240.00
bid of Miri Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible bid
for Bid "C" of the Proposal and recommends that a Contract be
awarded to said firm; and
WHEREAS, the proposed amount of the Contract is to be
allocated from the account entitled"4th Year Federal Community
Development Block Grant Fund";

Section 1. The February 20, 1979 bid of Miri Construc-
tion, Inc. in the proposed amount of $25,240.00 fc,r thL project

PHASE III and BUENA VISTA SANITARY SEWER MODIFICATIONS -
PIIAS L TII, na nely Bid "C" of the Proposal, is hereby accepted at
the price stated therein.
Section 2. The amount of $25,240.00 be, and it is hereby
allocated from the account entitled "4th Year Federal Community
Development Block Grant Fund" to cover the cost of said Contract.

Section 3. The amount of $2,776.00 is hereby allocated
from the aforesaid Fund to cover the cost of Project Expense.
Section 4. The amount of $506.00 is hereby allocated
from the aforesaid Fund to cover the cost of such items as
advertising, testing laboratories, and postage.
Section 5. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
enter into a contract on behalf of the City of Miami with Miri
Construction, Inc. for BUENA VISTA COMMUNITY PAVING PROJECT -
PHASE III and BUENA VISTA SANITARY SEWER MODIFICATIONS - PHASE
III, BID "C" .

Bids were received February 20, 1979 to modify the existing
Sanitary Sewer System using 8-inch extra strength vitrified
clay pipe, together with all necessary appurtenances, located
on N.W. 44 Street between N.W. 3 Avenue and N.W. 5 Avenue
and on N.W. 5 Avenue between N.W. 43 Street and N.W. 45 Street.
As reflected in the Tabulation of Bids, the $25,240.00 bid of
Miri Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible bid for Bid
"C" of the Proposal.
Funds have been allocated under the "Community Development
Program" for the estimated amount of the Contract, for Project
Expense, and for such items as Advertising, Testing Laboratories,
Postage.
