KNIGHT INTERNATIONAL CENTER LOCATED AT SOUTHEAST FOURTH STREET AND SOUTHEAST SECOND AVENUE AS PER ATTACHED LEGAL DESCRIPTION, SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH ALL REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH BY ThE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT AND THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, AND SUBJECT TO THE REQUIREMENT OF RECORDING C� Q 7 n ryrlr.THE APPROVED PLAT WITH THE CLERK OF THE CIRCUIT `(v 1 i1i1�� C. FOLLOW" WHEREAS, the City of Miami proposes to start construction of the foundation work of the City of Miami/University of Miami James L. Knight International Center, hereinafter described; and WHEREAS, the City of Miami is presently involved in replatting the subject property; and WHEREAS, The City Commission deems it beneficial to the public interest and welfare to waive the platting requirements and to authorize the issuance of a building permit for the foundation work at the subject property. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The platting requirements for the property located at Southeast Fourth Street and Southeast Second Avenue legally described in Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof, be and the same are hereby waived; "DOCUMENT INDEX ITEbM NO Section 2. A Building Permit is here y authorized to permit construction of the Foundation for the City of Miami/University of Miami James L. Knight International Center on the property more fully described in Exhibit A attached hereto, subject to compliance with all requirements as set forth by the Public Works Department and the Building Department of the City of Miami and subject to the re- quirement of recording the approved Plat with the Clerk of the Circuit prior to the issuance of a Certificate of Occunancv. CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF $:I RESOLUIIUN N0.7"-111 REMARK& PARCEL 1 The West portion of Block "A" of FORT DALLAS PARK, being 671/2 feet, more or less, across south End thereof, and 65 feet, more or less, across North end thereof, and 105.16 feet, more or less, in depth on the West side thereof, and 122.16 feet, more or less, in depth on the East side thereof, said Fort Dallas Park being a Subdivision in Miami, Dade County, Florida, reserving therefrom the West 5 feet thereof, such 5 feet to be set aside for street improvements. Grassie City Manager ames J. /Connolly project(Director Convention Center L dPI March 2, 1979 Attached please find the proposed resolution to be put on the agenda of the 3/8/79 Commission meeting requesting approval of a temporary waiver of platting for the Construction Site during the Foundation Work and the granting of a building permit for the Foundation Work for the City of Miami/University of Miami James L. Knight International Center. The City is presently in the process of replatting the entire construction site consisting of five (5) parcels and construc- tion should not be delayed due to EDA requirements and the bids that are in as of 3/5/79. It is recommended that a temporary waiver be granted and a building permit be issued for the Foundation Work in order to continue with construction. JJC/HT/mm iga /c,
