Section 1. The City Manager be, and hir Dli etr,
authorized to execute a Quite Claim Deed to Harry W. Flynn and
Gertrude D. Flynn, husband and wife, for the property legally
described as the South 7-1/2 Feet of Lot 14, Block 80, LAWRENCE
ESTATES LAND COMPANY'S SUBDIVISION (2-46).
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19 day of APRIL , 1979.

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO HARRY W. FLYNN
AND GERTRUDE D. FLYNN, HUSBAND AND WIFE, FOP
THE PROPERTY LEGALLY DESCRIBED AS THE SOUTH
7-1/2 FEET OF LOT 14, BLOCK 80, LAWRENCE
ESTATES LAND COMPANY'S SUBDIVISION (2-46).
WHEREAS, the property legally described as the
South
7-1/2 Feet of Lot 14, Block 80, LAWRENCE ESTATES LAND COMPANY'S
SUBDIVISION (2-46) was dedicated to the City of Miami in 1925
for the improvement and widening of S.W. 2nd Street; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance No. 7268, the City
Commission established the zoned street width of S.W. 2nd Street
at 50 feet; and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned dedication is in excess of
the zoned street right of way and is no longer necessary; and
WHEREAS, Harry W. Flynn and Gertrude D. Flynn, husband
and wife, the owners of said property have requested the return
of the aforementioned dedication;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF

Release of 7-1/2 foot Dedication
at 1253 S.W. 2nd Street
(For April 1979 Commission)
Letter, Resolution, Sketch
We have received the attached letter requesting the release of
the south 7-1/2 feet of Lot 14, Block 80, Lawrence Estate Land
Co. Subdivision, located at 1253 S.W. 2nd Street. This dedica-
tion was obtained in 1925 to accommodate the improvement and
widening of S.W. 2n6 Street. The plans for widening
S.W. 2nd Street were abandoned, and the zoned street width is
now 50 feet. The south 7-1/2 feet of Lot 14, Block 80, is no
long:er needed by the public, and it is in order that this
property be released and returned to :Tarry W. Flynn and
Gertrude D. Flynn, owners of Lot 14.
We recommend the adoption of the attached Resolution authorizing
the execution of a quit claim deed to the owners of Lot 14, and
request that this matter be placed on the April 1979 Commission
Agenda.

Dear Mr. Brown:
In reference to my letter of February 23, 1979,
please be advised that in as much as my client's purchase of
the above referred property is subject to obtaining the 72
feet in question, we will therefore request that the Quit Claim
Deed be given from the City of Miami to the present owners
Harry W. Flynn and Gertrude D. Flynn, his wife.
I have enclosed a copy of the Warranty Deed indicating
how Mr. and Mrs. Flynn took title. The abstract had a very poor
copy.
Hoping that this will satisfy your request and that
you will advise me as soon as the commission has taken action
so that we can obtain a Quit Claim Deed.
