The delay in submitting this request was necessary to obtain costs estimates from various companies for repairs. Additionally, I am requesting approval to award the contract to the American LaFrance Company since they propose the most advantageous alternative. They have quoted a firth price of $33,222.14 which includes pick-up and delivery at the Fire Garage. While the apparatus is at the factory for these repairs, I propose to re- furbish the ladder and trailer section and have the ladder recertified, for an additional cost. of $11,650.00 which will be funded by the Department of Fire.
