The attached proptsed ordinance amendt Ordinance N. 88B81 the Annual'
Appropriations Ordinance for fiscal year 1078.79, by dtltting the line.item
for Rental Properties in the amount of $2684602 from the Enterprise Fund.'
This amount will then be transferred to the General Fund, Special Programs
and Accounts, Contribution to Enterprise FUnd.
This change is con tent with General Accounting principles where an
Enterprise Fund should provide services and, as such, tarn revenues and
incur, ekpentes. The Rental Properties Enterprise does not fit these
criteria. Hence, the City's external auditors . Peat, Marwick and
Mitchell- have recommended that we,abolish Rental Properties Enterprise
and transfer the revenues to the Oeneral Fund,
This ordinance has been prepared, for the April 19, 1979 City Commission
meeting.
