EA 9 1 14 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1 and 6 Of ORDINANCE 01 88581 ADOPTED SEPTEMGER 28, 1078, THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMP,ER 30, IVO, AS AMENDED, BY INCREASING THE APPROPRIATION FOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS, SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS, IN AN MOUNT OF $46,350; AND AY INCREASING ANTICIPATED REVENUES, SOURCES OTHER THAN AD VALOREM TAX, IN THE SAME AMOUNT: FOR THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING DADE COUNTY COMMUNITY SCHOOLS AND DADE COUNTY AFTER SCHOOL CARE; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERA8ILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the City Commision adopted Ordinance NO. 8868 on September 28, 1978, establishing revenues and appropriations for the City of Miami, Florida, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1979; and WHEREAS, the City toMmission adopted Ordinance No. 8890, January 18, 1979, establishing a Trust and Agency Fund entitled "Social Service Programs - Fiscal Year 1978-79," and appropriated thereto ah amount of $552,180 for the operation of specific soclal service programs; and WHEREAS, said ordinance appropriated $32,004 for operation of the Dade County - After School Care through November 29, 1978; and WHEREAS, said ordinance appropriated $14,585 for operation of the Dade County - Community Schools through.December 14, 1978; and WHEREAS, the City Commission passed esolution No. 78-617 at the September 28, 1978 Commission Meeting, authorizing the City Manager to provide funds for Dade County After School Care and Dade County Community Schools in the amount of 1/12 of their Federal Revenue Sharing allocation for FYI77-78, to continue operation until alternative funding is identified; and WHEREAS, the City Commission passed Resolution No. 78-667 at the October 24, 1978 Commission Meeting toprovide Dade County - After School Care 1/12 of their Federal Revenue Sharing Allocation for FY'77-78 from Special Programs and Accounts, Contingent Fund, to continue oper4tion until alternative funding was identified; and WREREAS, tht t1ty COMMittiOn patted Retolution No, 78.688 at the October 24, 1178 tommittion Meeting, to provide funds for Dade County Community Schoch tn a month.to.month basic in a pro.rata amount of the Agency's Federal Revenue Sharing allocation for 1Y'71-78 from Special Programs and Accounts, Contingent Funds, thereby enabling said program to contfnue operations through December 14, 1978; and WHEREAS, Ordinance NO. 8015, adopted March 22, 1979, appropriated $53,174 for Dade County - After School Care from November 30, 1078 through March 9, 1979, and SI6,513 for Dade County - Community Schools for the period of December 15, 1978 through March 9, 1979; and WHEREAS, Motion 79-168, adopted March 8, 1579, authorized the continued funding of the Dade County Community School and After School Care Programs for a period of forty-five (45) working days from March 12, 1979; and WHEREAS, funds are required in the amount of $12,116 for Dade County Community Schools and $33,234 for the After School Care Program to continue these programs for the herein designated period; and WHEREAS, increased anticipated revenues from the Gas Franchise Tax can be appropriated into the General Fund, Special Programs and Accounts, for FY 1978-79 Social Service Programs to fund the aforementioned programs for the period specified herein; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Sections 1 and 6 of Ordinance No. 8858, adopted September 28, 1978, as amended, are hereby further amended in the following particulars: 1/ "Section 1. The following appropriations are made for municipal operations of the City of Miami, Florida for the fiscal year 1978-79, including tbe payment of principal and interest on all General Obligation Bonds, 1/ Words and or figures stricken through sball be deleted. Motion 10.168, adopted March 8, 15701 authori2ed the continued funding of these rograms for a period of forty five (46) working days from March 12, 10794 The additional funds,reguired will total $46,360. The After School Care Program will receive $33,234 of these monies and the Community School Program wi11 receive the remaining $12,116.
