Proposed Ordinance to
Appropriate Overtime
txpentet for Police Depart-
ment •
The Police Department has received four (4) checks from the State of
Florida totaling $48,079 at reimbursement for overtime expenses. These
expenses were incurred as the result of a highly confidential investigation
in the Special Investigation Section for which the State Attorney's Office
agreed to reimburse the City of Miami Police Department for overtime costs.
The total costs for overtime expenses for the period from November 18, 1978
through May 19, 1979 was $51,392. The remaining balance of $2,413 will be
forthcoming as soon as it is processed by the State of Florida.
The attached proposed ordinance appropriates the total amount of $51,392
into the General Fund, Police Department, from increased anticipated reve-
nues for overtime expenses6
This ordinance has been prepared for the June 25, 1979 Commission meeting.
