HARRY PPARIMAN RATHER THAN A JUNIOR EMPLOYEE, WOULD BE AFFECTED. WHEREAS, the Civil Service Board, on MAY 22 197 9, unanimously recommended the approval of employment age of 75 for HARRY PEARLMAN'. Department of STADIUMS AND MARINAS WHEREAS, the City the physical condition of said HARRY PEARLMAN WATCHMAN past the is satisfactory for continued employment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. A one (1) year extension Past the age of 75 is hereby granted for HARRY effective on MAY 28 of employment. At its meeting of May 22, 1.979, the Civil Service Board considered the request; of' Harry Pearlman Watchman in the Departtnent of Stadiums and Marinas;, for an extension ofemployment for a period of one -year, to be effective May 28, 1979.to May 28, 1980. The Board noted that R. L. Jennings,, Director'of the Department<of Stadiumsand Marinas, has recommended approval of this ,request ,request and that Dr. L. A. Toto, City Physician, has found Mr.Peariman.physicially qualified to continue employment for the additional year. The Board voted toapprove therequest, with the provision that in the event of a, rollback or layoff, Mr. Pearlman, rather thana junior employee, would be affected, noting that this isin accordance with; past policy. In accordance with Rule II, Section 4, of the Civil Service Rules and Regulations of the City of Miami, Florida, it is hereby recommended that Mr. Pearlman be retained on active service. Mr. Pearlman is utilized in a senior watchman capacity; and replacement of a person with his dedication, years of experience, ability to handle subordinates and energy, would be extremely difficult. Also be advised that Mr. Pearlman is not eligible for pension. This department is moat desirous of retaining his.servicss.
