"DOES ARTICLE XXX, §14(1) (a) OF THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI PROHIBIT AN APPLICATION FOR A CHANGE OF.ZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHWEST INTERSECTION OF VIRGINIA AND OAK STREETS WHERE THE ZONING DISTRICT BOUNDARY LINE SEPARATING THE SUBJECT PROPERTY FROM THE ADJACENT C-2A ZONING DISTRICT IS LOCATED ON THE. CENTER LINE OF THE ABUTTING``STREETS?", The answer is in the negative. A general principle of zoning law is that zoning boundaries need not coincide with property lines. The zoning district map de- picting the subject area, made a part of the City of Miami:. Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance No. 6871, as amended, Pursuant to Article III, §2, clearlyindicates that the boundary line between the R-2 zoning district inwhich the subject property is located and the C-2A zoning district are the center lines of Virginia Street to the East and Oak Avenue to the South of said property. Thus, it is clear that an application to change the zoning classification of the subject property from R-2 to C-2A, thus extending the existing.C-2A zoning district boundary, .`isproper.
