WVEPEAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 8716 on October 26, 19/1, establishing resources and appropriations for the implementation of capital improvements in the City of Miami, Florida for the Fiscal Year ending September 30, 1978; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 8874, Amendment No. 7 to Ordinance No. 8/16, is the Capital Improvement Appropriations Ordinance for Fiscal Year 1978-19; and WHEREAS, $963,000 was appropriated for the land acquisition, planning, design and construction of Fire Station No. 9, of which approxi- mately $693,000 was allocated for the actual construction of the building; and WHEREAS, it was necessary to reject the first bid on the construction of Fire Station No. 9 due to the fact that the low bid was in the amount of $1,004,000; and WHEREAS, the original plans and design were then revised by the architectural firm of SIM, Inc., for the purpose of cost reduction in preparation for a second bidding; and WHEREAS, the second bidding for Fire Station No. 9 was received on July 3, 1979 with the low bid for the actual construction of the building requiring additional funds in the amount of $165,000; and WHEREAS, funds in the anount of $165,000 are available in accumulated interest on the Fire Fighting, Fire Prevention and Rescue Facilities bond monies/ and , "or ,r WO:Mg, any delay in thd castruction of Pit e ttatich NO% 0 Wddld �ttly result It furthot intlationaty ineteagd ih building costS1 NOW, TIMEVOikk, bt it ObbAntb bV THE COMMVON OP Tlit etm OP MIAM/, PLOAWA: Seetic5h 1% Section 1 of OtdihShde No% 8/16, adopted 6dthhot 26 1977, as AMended, it hereby further amended itthe following particulats: 1/ "Sectioh 1. the following apptopriations by fund ate Made fot the iftiplementation of the municipal capital iMprOVeMents of the City of Miami, Florida, fot the, fiscal year 19/8.09.
