AN ORDINANCE APPROVING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 1979 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER
30, 1980 BY THE DEPARTMENT OF OFF-STREET PARKING;
CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Charter requires that no later than
one month before the end of each fiscal year the Director of the Department
of Off -Street Parking, with the approval of the Off -Street Parking Board of
the City of Miami, shall prepare and submit to the City Commission, a budget
estimate of the Department's expenditures and revenues for the ensuing fiscal
year for approval by the Commission; and
WHEREAS, the said Director has submitted the Department's budget
estimate for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1980 and the same has been
reviewed and approved by the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The appropriations of the Department of Off -Street
Parking amounting to $2,235,867, as set forth in Schedule A attached hereto,
together with the appropriation of $204,393 for General Reserve made for the
maintenance and carrying on of the governmental and other legal purposes of
the Department of Off -Street Parking and for the purpose of paying Debt Service
requirements which include principal and interest payment on all bonds of the
said Department for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1980, are hereby
approved together with the enumerated sources of revenue for such appropriations
as set forth in Schedule B attached hereto.
Section 2. The Director of the Department of Off -Street Parking
is hereby authorized to make transfers between the detailed accounts comprising
any of the amounts appropriated in the budget, in order that available and
unrequired balances in any such accounts may be used for other necessary and
proper purposes.
Section 3. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause,
phrase or word of this ordinance shall be held to be unconstitutional, or
void, the remaining provisions of this ordinance shall, nevertheless, remain
in full force and effect.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances, insofar as
they are inconsistent with or in conflict with the provisions of this
ordinaance are hereby repealed.

Budget Public Hearing and Ordinance
Dear Mr, Grassie:
On August 8, 1979, the Off -Street Parking Board passed Resolution
No. 79-598, approving and adopting the budget for the Department of
Off -Street Parking for the fiscal period October 1, 1979 through
September 30, 1980.
We are asking that you place the resolution providing for the public
hearing on the budget on the September 13th agenda and the proposed
budget ordinance on the September 27th agenda.
In order to enable you to place these items on the agendas, we are
attaching the following documents:
(1) Off -Street Parking Board Resolution No. 79-598
(2) Copy of Proposed 1979/80 Budget
(3) Draft of Proposed City Commission resolution providing
for the public hearing
(4) Draft of Proposed City Commission ordinance
