APPROXIMATELY 80008999SWNv79THSTREET: AVENUE APPROXIMATELY JACKSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL REDEVELOPMENT SUB NO. 1 (100-29) Tract A Consideration of recommending permission to develop an open parking lot on above site, as an accessory use to the Univer- sity of Miami Jackson Memorial Medical Center, per Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance 6871, ARTICLE IV GENERAL PROVISIONS,;: Section 36 Zoned R-4 MEDIUM DENSITY MULTIPLE DWELLING, per plans on file. To permit a surface parking lot, as an accessory use, within the Medical Center ARTICLE IV, Section 36(2).allow hospitals (and related uses) to be established within zoning districts, from which they would be otherwise excluded, upon the recommendation of the Planning Advisory Board and approval of the City Commission. The surface parking lot, proposed for Tract A would provide 194 parking spaces for the use of staff of the Medical Center. NW 9th Avenue, on the west side of the lot is proposed as a peripheral roadway (70'ROW) which would provide good access to the lot. Former NW 8th Court was closed through the site in 1973. The John Elliott Blood Bank lies immediately to the south. Zoning in the immediate area is R-4 except for a small portion of C-1 zoning across NW 9th Avenue. This use is viewed as interim for a 5-10 year period, following which it is planned to develop Tract A for a student/staff support and rec- reational facility.
