EDISON-LITTLE RIVER COMMERCIAL
CENTER C.D. BEAUTIFICATION -
PHASE I - Resolution for
Increase in Scope,
F_ FE:RE NCES. - -
(For Commission Meeting
:t4:Lo.,;,«_=,. of October 30, 1979)
The Department of Public Works recommends.
the adoption of a resolution authorizing
an increase in the scope of the contract
in the amount not to exceed $6,500 for
the EDISON-LITTLE RIVER COMMERCIAL CENTER.
C.D. BEAUTIFICATION — PHASE I, allocating
the additional amount of $6,500 from 2nd
Year Community Development Block Grant
Fund.
On August 10, 1979 a contract for EDISON-LITTLE RIVER
COMMERCIAL CENTER C.D. BEAUTIFICATION - PHASE I was
awarded to P'.N.M. Corporation. The contract consisted
of the construction of street improvements located on
N. E. 2 Avenue between N..E. 79 and N. E. 82 Streets.
On August 21, 1979 bids were received for the LITTLE'RIVER
COMMERCE PARK project, which' included an additive item
consisting of street improvements located on the northwest
corner of N. E. 2 Avenue and N. E. 80 Terrace. In evaluating
the bids, we found them high, therefore, as construction
is about to begin on the EDISON-LITTLE RIVER project,
was deemed in the best interest to the City to increase: the
scope of the EDISON-LITTLE RIVER project, thus saving three
to four thousand dollars.
The Department of Citizen Services and the Department o
Parks approve of our recommendations.
