A RESOLUTION GRANTING A ONE YEAR EXTENSION OF
THE CONDITIONAL USE GRANTED ON LOT 20, BLOCK 83N,
MIAMI (B'-41) LOCATED AT N.W. CORNER OF N.E.--3RD
STREET AND BISCAYNE BOULEVARD.ORIGINALLY GRANTED
BY THE CITY COMMISSION BY RESOLUTION NO. 43092
AND EXTENDED ANNUALLY TO PERMIT A MECHANICALLY
OPERATED'PARKING STRUCTURE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the Conditional Use granted on
Lot 20, Block 83N, MIAMI (B-41) located at N.W. corner of N.E.
3rd Street and Biscayne Boulevard originally granted by the
City Commission by Resolution No. 43092 and extended annually to
permit a mechanically operated parking structure, be and the same
is hereby extended to November 5, 1980:

The Department recommends that the previous approval for
Conditional Use to permit unenclosed mechanically operated
parking structure be REVOKED and that the property owner
be given a maximum of thirty (30) days for the removal of
the same. Permission to continue using the site for surface
parking should only be granted if the site is brought up to
standard as to paving, lighting and landscaping within ninety
(90) days.

On December 20, 1971 the City Commission adopted Resoluhion
#43092, which approved a mechanically operated parking structure
on the N.W, corner of Biscayne Boulevard and N.E. 3rd Street
for a period of one year. This Conditional Use has been extended
to November 5, 1979.
The Zoning Inspection Division of the Building and Zoning
Inspection Department has inspected the site and recommends
denial of renewal for this Conditional Use.
It is therefore requested that the City Commission review this
item at its meeting of November 20, 1979.

Intent of resolution is not, being met.
The mechanically operated parking structure
has been broken for several years, according
to the attendant on duty.
Apparently, the original applicant lost his
lease, and abandoned the mechanism.
Recommend denial of renewal

On December 20, 1971 the City Commission adopted Resolution No.
43092 which approved a mechanically operated parking structure
on the N.W. corner of Biscayne Boulevard and 3rd Street. On
November 17, 1976 the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 76-1038
extending this Conditional Use for a period of three years to
November 5, 1979.
Would you please inspect the subject property to make sure that
the intent of the Resolutions is being met and return your reoort
to us as soon as possible. This item has been tentatively scheduling
for the City Commission meeting of October 30, 1979.
