HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-09024GMM/S-2 8/24/79 ORDINANCE NO. 9024 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 6871, THE COMPRE- HENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI, BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF SOUTH 1/2 OF LOT 2B LESS NORTH 20 FEET THEREOF AND ALL OF LOT 3B THROUGH 6B; LOTS 1M THROUGH 6M; LOTS 1H AND 2H; LOTS 1MC AND 2MC; LOTS 1L, 2L, 3L; LOTS 7B, 8B, 9B (pt), PLUS INCLUDED RIGHTS -OF -WAY (TO BE VACATED) RIVERSIDE WATER FRONTS (25-72) AND LOTS 2 THROUGH 6, BLOCK 27S; LOTS 6 (pt), 7 AND 8, 19 (pt) AND 20 (pt), BLOCK 28S; LOTS 1, 2, 3 LESS RIGHT-OF-WAY, 17, 18 LESS RIGHT-OF- WAY, 19, 20, BLOCK 37S; MIAMI (A.L. KNOWLTON)(B-41), BEING APPROXIMATELY 201-399 S.W. 4TH AVENUE, 440-598 S.W. 3RD AVENUE, FROM W-1 (WATERFRONT INDUSTRIAL), C-4 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) AND R-4 (MEDIUM DENSITY MULTIPLE DWELLING) TO PR (PUBLIC PARK AND RECREATIONAL USE), SUBJECT TO STREET VACATION APPROVAL BY THE ZONING BOARD AND CITY COMMISSION, AND BY MAKING THE NECESSARY CHANGES IN THE ZONING DISTRICT MAP MADE A PART OF THE SAID ORDINANCE NO. 6871 BY REFERENCE AND DESCRIPTION IN ARTICLE III, SECTION 2, THEREOF; BY REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES, CODE SECTIONS, OR PARTS THEREOF IN CONFLICT; AND CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY PROVISION. WHEREAS, the Miami Planning Advisory Board, at its meeting of July 11, 1979, Item No. 1(a), following an advertised hearing, adopted Resolution No. PAB 31-79 by a 7 to 0 vote, recommending Change of Zoning as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, the City Commission, after careful consideration and due deliber- ation of this matter, deems it advisable and in the best interest of the City of Miami and its inhabitants to grant said zoning change; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Ordinance No. 6871, the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance for the City of Miami, be and the same is hereby amended by changing the zoning classification of South 1/2 of Lot 2B less North 20 feet thereof, and all of Lots 3B through 6B; Lots 1M through 6M; Lots 1H and 2H; Lots 1MC and 2 MC; Lots IL, 2L, 3L; Lots 7B, 8B, 9B (pt), plus included rights -of -way (to be vacated) RIVERSIDE WATER FRONTS (25-72), and Lots 2 through 6, Block 27S; Lots 6 (pt), 7 and 8, 19 (pt) and 20 (pt), Block 28S; Lots 1, 2, 3 less right- of-way, 17, 18 less right-of-way, 19, 20, Block 37S; MIAMI (A.L. KNOWLTON) (B-41), being approximately 201-399 S.W. 4th Avenue, 440-598 S.W. 3rd Avenue, 9024 from W-I (WATERFRONT INDUSTRIAL), C-4 (GENERAL COMMERCIAL) and R-4 (MEDIUM DENSITY MULTIPLE DWELLING) to PR (PUBLIC PARK AND RECREATIONAL USE), subject to street vacation approval by the Zoning Board and City Commission. Section 2. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance, are hereby repealed. Section 3. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall not be affected.
