A RESOLUTION GRANTING CERTAIN EXTENSIONS
IN PERMITTED HOURS OF SALE FOR ESTABLISH-
MENTS DISPENSING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES DURING
THE CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS.
WHEREAS, this year Christmas Eve and New Years Eve
fall on Monday and normally there would be no package liquor
sales permitted on the preceding day: Sunday, December 23,
1979 and Sunday, December 30, 1979; and
WHEREAS, Section 3-8(6) of the City Code provides that
the City Commission, by resolution, may extend the hours of
sale for alcoholic beverages for consumption on or off licen-
sed premises on special occasions; and
WHEREAS, previous City Commissions have found it to be
in the best interest of the City of Miami to allow extended
hours for alcoholic beverage sales during the Holiday Season;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The sale of alcoholic beverages by a liquour

package store, N.C.0.P. is hereby permitted on Sunday,
December 23, 1979, and on Sunday, December 30, 1979, from
10:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of December 1979.
