AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 6871, THE
COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
BY ADDING A NEW SUB -SECTION (174-B) TO ARTICLE XXV,
BASE BUILDING LINES, SECTION 1 TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
SOUTH BAYSHORE LANE, FAIR ISLE STREET SOUTHWESTERLY
TO ITS TERMINUS APPROXIMATELY ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-
FIVE (125) FEET SOUTHWESTERLY OF VISTA COURT....20';
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES, CODE SECTIONS OR PARTS
THEREOF IN CONFLICT INSOFAR AS THEY ARE IN CONFLICT;
AND CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY PROVISION.
WHEREAS, the Miami Planning Advisory Board, at its meeting
of September 5, 1979, Item No. 2, following an advertised Hearing,
adopted Resolution No. PAB 44-79 by a 5 to 0 vote (2 members absent)
recommending an amendment to Ordinance No. 6871, the Comprehensive
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami, by adding a new Sub -section
(174-B)to ARTICLE XXV, BASE BUILDING LINES, Section 1, as hereinafter
set forth; and
WHEREAS, the Commission deems it advisable and in the
best interest of the City of Miami and its inhabitants to amend
said Ordinance as hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Ordinance No. 6871, the Comprehensive
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami be, and the same is hereby
amended by adding a new Sub -section (174-B) to ARTICLE XXV, BASE
BUILDING LINES, Section 1, to read as follows:
(174-B) SOUTH BAYSHORE LANE, FAIR ISLE
STREET SOUTHWESTERLY TO ITS
TERMINUS APPROXIMATELY ONE HUNDRED
TWENTY-FIVE (125) FEET
SOUTHWESTERLY OF VISTA COURT 20'
Section 2. All ordinances, code sections, or
parts thereof in conflict herewith, insofar as they are in
conflict, are hereby repealed.
Section 3. Should any part or provision of this
ordinance be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to
be invalid, the same shall not affect the validity of the
ordinance as a whole.

2. Consideration of recommending an amendment
to Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance 6871,
ARTICLE XXV, BASE BUILDING LINES Section
1 by adding a new sub -section (174-B) to
change the zoned street width of South
Bayshore Lane, from Fair Isle Street
southwesterly to its terminus, from 50
feet to 40 feet.
To decrease the Zoned street width of
S. Bayshore Lane for approximately 625'
southwesterly from Fair Isle Street to
its terminus.
A petition has been received from eight
property owners of who believe that they
are adversely affected by the existing
zoned street width of 50' (25' from
centerline) and the petitioners have
requested a reduction of the Zoned street
width to 40' (20' from centerline).
Certain properties have three sides fronting
on streets where the existing requirement
restricts the use of property. Other
properties have decorative wall fences
between the existing base building line
and the property, line. The existing 20'
pavement width is adequate for future.
