RFC/rr 2/4/80 RESOLUTION NO. 80-86 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING A SUPPLEMENTAL PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5374-C (CENTERLINE SEWERS) IN GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5374-C (CENTERLINE SEWERS) AND REDUCING THE TOTAL ASSESSMENT COST OF SAID IMPROVEMENT BY THE AMOUNT OF $331.41; FURTHER REPEALING SECTION 4 OF RESOLUTION NO. 79-788, ADOPTED NOVEMBER 26, 1979, WHICH CONFIRMED ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5374—C (CENTERLINE SEWERS) IN GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5374-C (CENTERLINE SEWERS); SAID; CONFIRMATION OF A SUPPLEMENTAL PRELIMINARY ASSESS- MENT ROLL BEING NECESSARY TO INCLUDE CERTAIN PROPERTIES PREVIOUSLY OMITTED FROM THE ORIGINAL PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT ROLL AND TO ADJUST ASSESS- MENTS ON CERTAIN OTHER LOTS AS APPEARING ON SAID ORIGINAL PRELIMINARY ASSESSMENT ROLL. WHEREAS, the City Commission met 1980,,pursuant to due legal notice .of n February aid 'meeting under Section 56 of the City Charter, as amended, „to receive ali. written objections`to the confirmation of a supplemental preliminary assessment roll for the cost of :GLENROYAL': SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5374-C (centerline sewers)' in GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT" DISTRICTSR-5374- (centerline sewers); WHEREAS, this and supplemental preliminary` assessment roll was made necessary. to include certain properties previously omitted from the. preliminary assessment roll and to adjust assessments .on certain other lots as„�LTIA'��n,IiUx preliminary assessment roll; and ITEM Igo. WHEREAS, no objections thereto ;.,,by any ;person interested`` or.affected by, said assessments were sustained by the Commission, and said supplemental assessment roll appeared,' in all respects, regular and in accordance with 'the 'require- ments and provisions of the City Charter,as amended; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT, RESOLVED'_ BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMi, FLORIDA: Section'1. (1) Section 4. Any lien in GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5374-C (centerline sewers) in GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5374-C (centerline sewers) certified by Resolution No. 79-78E3, adopted Novem ber 26 1979, for sanitary sewer 3.'mprovements affecting any lot or parcel of ground appearing in the supplemental pre- liminary assessment roll is hereby cancelled and removed. Section 5. Section 4 of Resolution No. 79-788, as passed and adopted by the City Commission on November 26, 1979 is hereby repealed in its entirety. Section 6. Any pending lien in GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5374-C (centerline sewers) in GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER Ilv1PROVEMENT DISTRICT SR-5374-C (centerline sewers) for sanitary sewer 1.mporvements not (centerline sewers) irt GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVE- MENT DISTRICT SR-5374-C (centerline sewers) are hereby, in all things, confirmed and sustained any and all lots of pracels of ground described therein. Section 2. The sums and amounts assessed against each the lots or parcei.s of ground in said supplemental pre- liminary assessment roll are less than the amount that of said lots or parcels of ground is especially benefited by said improvement, and such assessment amounts are in proportion to the speci.'al benefits that the property received. Section 3. The 1 assessrnent cost of said GLENROYAL 8 0 - 8 aPPearing (a) the preliminary assessment roll, as approved and certif±ed by said Resolution No. 79-78.8, or (b)in the supplemental preliminary assessment roll an not approved and certified hereby and; herein, is hereby cancelled and 'removed. Cather rector of E. c Works The Department of Public Works recommends the adoption of the attached resolutions amending Resolutions 79-787 and 79-788, which confirmed the preliminary assessment rolls for GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT. SR-5374-S (sideline sewer) . and-SR-537W-C (centerline sewer). • • ' Construction of GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT SR-5374-S (sideline sewer) and SR-5374-C (centerline sewer) in GLENROYAL SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT sR -5374 -S (sideline sewer) and SR-5374-C (centerline sewer) has been completed, and the preliminary assessment rolls for this improvement have been presented to the Commission for confirmation. Supplemental preliminary assessment rolls were made necessary due to some omissions in the original preliminary assessment rolls. This improvement was part of the original Grapeland District, and includes the areas previously known as Beacom and Kenilworth. A public hearing is scheduled for February 12, 1980 to hear objections to confirmation of the supplemental assessment rolls. If no objections are sustained, it will be in order for the Commission to adopt the resolutions confirming the supplemental assessment rolls. A section has been included cancelling and removing pending liens placed against properties not benefited by the improvement.
