HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-09084IN 40 LCD/slm AMENDMENT NO. 12 TO ORDINANCE NO. 9000 3/18/80 2bI ORDINANCE NO. ;+ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 5 OF ORDINANCE NO. 9000, ADOPTED OCTOBER 17, 1979, THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1980, AS AMENDED; BY INCREASING THE APPROPRIATION FOR THE GENERAL FUND, SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS, IN THE AMOUNT OF $632; BY INCREASING GENERAL FUND REVENUES, MISCELLANEOUS REVENUES, IN THE SAME AMOUNT; TO PROVIDE FOR THE ALLOCATION OF SAID MONIES TO THE BURN UNIT AT JACKSON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND DISPENSING WITH THE REQUIREMENT OF READING SAME ON TWO SEPARATE DAYS BY A VOTE OF NOT LESS THAN FOUR -FIFTHS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9000 on October 17, 1979, establishing revenues and appropriations for the City of Miami, Florida, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1980; and WHEREAS, Resolution No. 80-101, adopted March 12, 1980, authorized the City Manager to accept surplus campaign contributions in the amount of $632 from Commissioner Plummer and allocate said sum to maintain the Burn Unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital to provide relief for the painful condition of burn victims including City employees and City Firefighters; and WHEREAS, a check in the amount of $632 from said contributions has been transmitted to the City of Miami for deposit into the General Fund; and WHEREAS, the amount of $632 can be appropriated into the General Fund, Special Programs and Accounts, under a new line -item entitled: "Jackson Memorial Hospital Burn Unit", thereby increasing General Fund Revenues, Miscellaneous Revenues, by the same amount; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Sections 1 and 5 of Ordinance No. 9000, adopted October 17, 1979, the Annual Appropriations Ordinance for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1980, as amended, are hereby further amended in the following particulars Y "Section 1. The herein appropriation of $632 into the General Fund, Special Programs and Accounts, and the corresponding increase in General Fund Revenues, Miscellaneous Revenues, in the same amount provides for the allocation of said monies to the Burn Unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 4. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provis- ions of this ordinance shall not be affected. Section 5. The requirement of reading this ordinance on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by a vote of not less than four -fifths of the members of the Commission. Surana, Acting p for Department of Management udget March 17, 1980 - Appropriation of $632 in Surplus Campaign Contributions from J. L. Plummer Commissioner J. L. Plummer has requested that his surplus campaign contri- butions, approximating $632 ($631.29) be donated to maintain the Burn Unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital to provide relief for the painful condition of burn victims, including City employees and City of Miami Firefighters. Resolution No. 80-101, adopted March 12, 1980, authorized the City Manager to accept the contribution from Commissioner J. L. Plummer and allocate said sum for the Burn Unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital. His check in the amount of $631.29 has been transmitted to the City of Miami for deposit into the General Fund. The attached proposed ordinance appropriates the amount of $632 into the General Fund, Special Programs and Accounts, under a new line -item entitled: "Jackson Memorial Hospital Burn Unit", increasing General Fund Revenues, Miscellaneous Revenues, by the same amount.
