A RESOLUTION REPEALING RESOLUTION NO.
80-98, ADOPTED FEBRUARY 12, 1980, WHICH
HAD ESTABLISHED APRIL 24, 1980 AS THE
DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING
ISSUANCE OF A DEVEL0imi:NT ORDER FOR
NASHER CENTER, A DEVELOPMENT 01' REGIONAL
IMPACT, LOCATED AT BRICKELL AVENUE AND
S.E. 8TH STREET; FURTHER CANCELLING THE
SAID PUBLIC HEARING OF APRIL 25, 1980.
WHEREAS, Chapter 380.06,Florida Statutess"Florida
Land and Water Environmental Management Act" requires
local government to establish a date certain, and give
public notice, for a local public hearing on an Application
for Development Approval for a Development of Regional
Impact prior to issuing a Development Order; and
WHEREAS, by letter of January 23, 1980, the South
Florida Regional Planning Council has notified the City
of Miami that the Application for Development Approval
contains sufficient information for their review and that
a local public hearing could be scheduled for Nasher
Center, a Development of Regional Impact, located at

Brickell Avenue and S.E. 8th Street; and
ITEM NO.
WHEREAS, Chapter 380.06, Florida Statutes requires
local government to set a public hearing date at its next
scheduled meeting after the receipt of such a letter and
to give at least 60 days notice of the hearing; and

WHEREAS, the City Commission by Resolution No. 80-98,

adopted February 12, 1980, did establish April 24, 1980 as
the date for a public hearing concerning issuance of a Develop-
ment Order for Nasher Center; and
WHEREAS, on February 4, 1980, the South Florida Regional
Council acted affirmatively on this project, proposing approval
with modifications; and
WHEREAS, the Applicant, Raymond D. Nasher Company, has

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Resolution No. 80-98, adopted on Feb-
ruary 12, 1980, entitled:
"A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING APRIL 24, 1980, AT
A DESIGNATED TIME AND PLACE, AS THE DATE FOR
A PUBLIC HEARING CONCERNING ISSUANCE OF A
DEVELOPMENT ORDER FOR NASHER CENTER, A DEVELOP-
MENT OF REGIONAL IMPACT, LOCATED AT BRICKELL
AVENUE AND SE 8TH STREET."
is hereby repealed in its entirety.
Section 2. The public hearing scheduled for April 24,
1980, pursuant to said Resolution No. 80-98, is hereby
cancelled.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10 day of April, 1980.

Per letter from the Applicant, Raymond
D. Nasher Company (enclosed) the Nasher
Center Development of Regional Impact
has been withdrawn. The Planning Depart-
ment recommends cancellation of the
previously -established public hearing
date of April 24, 1980, per the attached
resolution.
By Resolution 86-98; February 12, 1980 the Commission had
established April 24, 1980 as the public hearing date to con-
sider issuance of a development order for Nasher Center, a
Development of Regional Impact, to be located at Brickell
Avenue and S.F. Sth Street. The applicant has now withdrawn
the project.
The Planning Department recommends cancellation of the previously -
scheduled public hearing.
