HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-09091LCD/slm 4/1/80 AMENDMENT . 13 TO ORDINANCE NO. 9000 ORDINANCE NO. 90 91 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 5 OF ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1980, AS AMENDED; BY INCREASING THE APPROPRIATION FOR THE GENERAL FUND, DEPARTMENT OF BUILDING AND ZONING INSPECTIONS, BY $22,000; BY INCREASING GENERAL FUND REVENUES, CHARGES FOR SERVICES, IN THE SAME AMOUNT; FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING THE GOVERNOR'S ENERGY OFFICE WITH INSPECTION REPORTS ON COMPLIANCE WITH THE FEDERAL ENERGY CODE; CONTAINING A REPEALER PRO- VISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9000 on October 17, 1979, establishing revenues and appropriations for the City of Miami, Florida, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1980; and WHEREAS, the Department of Building and Zoning Inspections entered into an agreement on February 11, 1980 with the Florida Department of Community Affairs for the purpose of providing energy conservation related services; and WHEREAS, according to the Agreement, the Department of Building and Zoning Inspections will be required to provide the Governor's Energy Office with at least 780 inspection reports; and WHEREAS, said reports will include information obtained as a result of the inspection of buildings for compliance with the Federal Energy Code and the evaluation of the energy consumption of each building; and WHEREAS, suggestions as to what measures should be undertaken to improve the energy conservation of the inspected buildings will also be included in the reports; and WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Community Affairs will compensate the City, in a maximum amount of $22,000, as follows: 1) $2,000 upon execution of the Agreement by both parties. 2) $25.00 per report, paid monthly, based on the number of acceptable inspection reports submitted. 3) $500 upon completion of a final report summarizing the accomplishments of the program; and WHEREAS, the amount of $22,000 can be appropriated into the General Fund, Department of Building and Zoning Inspections, thereby in- creasing General Fund Revenues, Charges for Services, in the same amount to provide for the salaries and related costs associated with the afore- mentioned Agreement; to NOW, Tr;,cEFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE�FIMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Sections 1 and 5 of Ordinance No. 9000, adopted October 17, 1979, the Annual Appropriations Ordinance for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1980, as amended, are hereby further amended in the following particulars:11 "Section 1. The herein appropriation of $22,000 into the General Fund, Department of Building and Zoning Inspections, and the corresponding increase in General Fund Revenues, Charges for Services, in the same amount, will provide for the salaries and related cost associated with the herein designated Agreement. 1/ Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 4. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this ordinance shall not be affected.
