Sorkin: Thank you for your recent letter concerning information on desirability on high rise apartments for low cost housing. In general, the Department has a policy rjhich in most circumstances discourages high rise apartment: for low cost family housing. However, for elderly low cost housing, high rise construction,is 1luite acceptable.
