RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION CLOSING, VACATING, ABANDONING AND DISCONTINUING THE PUBLIC USE OF THE ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN THE WEST RIGHT -OF WAY LINE OF SOUTHWEST 17TH COURT AND THE EAST RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF SOUTHWEST 17TH AVENUE; IN CONJUNCTION WITH TENTATIVE PLAT NO. 1051 - A - "LITTLE HAVANA 1ST ADDITION". WHEREAS, the Miami Zoning Board at its meeting of April 21, 1980, Item No. 2, following an advertised hearing, adopted Resolution No. ZB 67-80 by a 7 to 0 vote recommending the official vacation and closure of the alley located between the west right- of-way line of Southwest 17th Court and the east right-of-way line of Southwest 17th Avenue; in conjunction with Tentative Plat No. 1051 - A - "LITTLE HAVANA 1ST ADDITION"; and WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it advisable and in the best interest of the general welfare of the City of Miami and its inhabitants to grant the vacation and closure as hereinafter set forth; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the alley located between the west right- of-way line of Southwest 17th Court and the east right-of-way line of Southwest 17th Avenue; in conjunction with Tentative Plat No. 1051 - A - "LITTLE HAVANA 1ST ADDITION", be and the same is hereby closed, vacated abandoned and discontinued for public use. "LITTLE HAVANA 1st ADDITION". RECOMMENDATION APPROVAL IN ACCORD WITH THE CONDITIONS IMPOSED PLANNING DEPT. BY THE PLAT COMMITTEE. The closure of this alley will facilitate the consolidation and development of the adjacent sites. Since traffic can travel between S;4 17th Court and 17th Avenue via SW 1st and 3rd Streets, and since the alley has never been improved, eliminating it will have no adverse effect on the neighborhood. There were no objections. A RESOLUTION to provide for this Alley Closure has been prepared by the City Attorney's office and submitted for consideration of the City Commission.
