Grassie May 22, 1980 City Manager r Henry Thompson t Vincent EiGrimm , 1'ssGis-tP t rAt9"M-anager In April, 1978 the City hired Henry Thompson as a contract employee for the purpose of helping the City process all the requirements of our E.D.A. grant, specifically, at that time, for the City Administration Building. When the City received an E.D.A. grant for the Conference/Convention Center, Mr. Thompson was asked to assume the same responsibilities for that project. The length of the contract was for two years, and the contract expired on April 14 of this year. By letter, you have extended his contract time until approximately the end of June. Because the work being paid for by the E.D.A. grant on the Conference/Convention Center is not completed, and because of other complex contracts that will stretch out over the next several months, I feel we should extend Mr. Thompson's time until all of our contractural problems are resolved. The attached resolution would authorize you to extend Mr. Thompson's time until you determine his services were no longer necessary. His salary would continue at the present level of $25,000 per annum, and the conditions of his present agreement would also continue. It I II• - V ti l'' ► J I r_ . /E FpCL OW11 80-401
