AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 1 AND 5 OF
ORDINANCE NO. 9000, ADOPTED OCTOBER 17, 1979, THE
ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1980, AS AMENDED; BY
INCREASING THE APPROPRIATION FOR SPECIAL PROGRAMS
AND ACCOUNTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $70,705; INCREASING
GENERAL FUND REVENUES, INTERGOVERNMENTAL REVENUE,
FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING, IN THE SAME AMOUNT, FOR
THE PURPOSE OF FUNDING THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH
MOVING FIVE CITY DEPARTMENTS TO THE NEW CITY
ADMINISTRATION BUILDING; CONTAINING A REPEALER
PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND
DISPENSING WITH THE REQUIREMENT OF READING SAME ON
TWO SEPARATE DAYS BY VOTE OF NOT LESS THAN
FOUR -FIFTHS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9000 on
October 17, 1979, establishing revenues and appropriations for the City of
Miami, Florida, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1980; and
WHEREAS, it is anticipated that the departments of Building and
Zoning Inspections, Fire, Planning, Planning and Zoning Boards Administration,
and Public Works will move to the New City Administration Building at
275 N.W. 2nd Street during the weekend of August 1-3, 1980; and
WHEREAS, it is estimated that the costs associated with said move
will amount to $70,705, as follows:

WHEREAS, an amount of $70,705 is available from increased antici-
pated General Fund Revenues, Intergovernmental Revenue, Federal Revenue Shar-
ing, and can be appropriated into Special Programs and Accounts in a new line -
item entitled: "New City Administration Building" for the above mentioned
purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Sections 1 and 5 of Ordinance No. 9000, adopted
October 17, 1979, the Annual Appropriations Ordinance for the Fiscal Year
ending September 30, 1980, as amended, are hereby further amended in the
following particulars:i/

Section 2. The herein appropriation of $700705 into Special
Programs and Accounts from increased anticipated General Fund Revenues,
Intergovernmental Revenue, Federal Revenue Sharing, is for the purpose
of funding the move of five City departments to the New City Administration
Building.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar as they
are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are
hereby repealed.
Section 4. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause,
phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provi-
sions of this ordinance shall not be affected.
Section 5. The requirement of reading this ordinance on two
separate days is hereby dispensed with by a vote of not less than four -fifths
of the members of the Commission.

Appropriation of Funds in
Special Programs and Accounts
to Cover Costs Associated with
Moving to the New City
Administration Building
It is anticipated that the departments of Building and Zoning
Inspections, Fire, Planning, Planning and Zoning Boards
Administration, and Public Works will move to the New City
Adminstration Building during the weekend of Audgust 1 - 3, 1980.
The estimated costs associated with the move amount to $70,705,
as follows:
