Suran Nnft Acting DirectorDepartment of 14anag and Budget May 22, 1980 Legislation to Increase Appropriation for the Internal Service Funds to Purchase Heavy Equipment The Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance is requesting the appropriation of $460,000 to fund the purchase of heavy equipment for fiscal year 1980. Resolution No. 80-313 accepted the bids and authorized the issuance of purchase orders. It should be noted that Ordinance No. 9061 appropriated an amount of $400,000 into the Internal Service Funds from the Heavy Equipment Maintenance Division, FY ' 79 Retained Earnings. This amount was transferred to the Capital Improvement Fund to pur- chase office furnishings for the New City Administration Building. Ordinance No. 9094 substituted the funding for the purchase of the furnishings from Florida Power and Light Franchise fees. Therefore, the funds appopriated by Ordinance No. 9061 are available for the equipment purchase. Inasmuch as $400,000 is already available, an additional appropriation of $60,000 is needed to fund the purchases. This amount is available from FY '79 Retained Earnings of the Heavy Equipment Maintenance Division and can be appropriated. The attached proposed ordinance has been prepared for the June 6, 1980.
