A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION EXPRESSING NO OBJECTION
TO THE BOUNDARY MODIFICATION OF THE NATOMA MANORS ROVING
SECURITY GUARD SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT TO WHICH THE CITY OF MIAMI
HAS NO ADMINISTRATIVE LEGAL OR FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS ASSOCIATED
WITH THE DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR TRANSMITTAL; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Natoma Manors Homeowners Association, Inc. ("Association") is a
voluntary homeowner's association located in a residential community in District 3 called
Natoma Manors that formed a special taxing district that was approved by the City Commission
on April 27, 1999, for the purposes of provided security guard services; and
WHEREAS, the Association in its application for a special taxing district did not include
one residence located at 1601 South Bayshore Drive and whose property can only be accessed
for mail, deliveries, garbage, trash, and other services at its entry on Alatka Street, and is
serviced by the Natoma Manors Roving Security Guard Special Taxing District ("District"); and
WHEREAS, the applicant, the Association, respectively requests the expansion of the
District by adding the property located at 1601 South Bayshore Drive; and
WHEREAS, the Association additionally wants to add an additional four (4) hours of
coverage, five days a week, to its security guard patrol; and
WHEREAS, in order to modify the boundaries of the District, the applicant and
Association will be required to fulfil the requirements of the Miami -Dade County Code; and
WHEREAS, in order to amend the hours of patrol the applicant and Association will be
required to request an amendment to the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Miami
("City") and Miami -Dade County and Ordinance No 11787, as amended, to increase the hours
of security guard patrol; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration has no objection to the modification of the boundary
of the District by addition of the property located at 1601 South Bayshore Drive; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 2-33(f) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida,
as amended, the City Commission, by a majority vote, hereby deems this Resolution to be of an
emergency nature;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble of this Resolution are
adopted by reference and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City hereby expresses that it has no objection to the modification of the
boundary of the District by the addition of the property located at 1601 South Bayshore Drive to
the Natoma Manors Roving Security Guard Special Taxing District and the increase to the hours
of coverage.

Section 4. The City Clerk shall transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Miami -Dade
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.
