RESOLUTION NO. 8 0- 4 9 7
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSITION
OF CERTAIN NO -LONGER SERVICEABLE EQUIPMENT,
TO WIT: 10 MOBILE RADIOS, AND AUTHORIZING
THE DONATION OF THESE RADIOS TO THE ACTION
COMMUNITY CENTER, INC. WITH THE UNDERSTAND-
ING THAT THE SAID AGENCY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE
FOR ALL LICENSING REQUIREMENTS OF THE FEDERAL
COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City of Hiami has10 mobile radios which
are no longer serviceable for City needs; and
WHEREAS, these radios can serve no need within any
administrative department of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Action Community Center, Inc. an agency
partly funded by the City of Miami will be able to utilize
these radios for worthwhile uses and has requested that
these radios be turned over to it; and
WHEREAS, the donation of the surplus radios to the
aforesaid agency would serve a public purpose by reason of
the significant positive impact upon the budgetary needs of
said agency which conducts a local community transportation
program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
make the necessary arrangements to transfer possession of
and title to 10 surplus mobile radios to the Action Community
Center, Inc., with the understanding that the said agency
will be responsible for all licensing requirements of the
Federal Communications Commission.
