To validate the change order the City Commission must authorize an increase in the contract in the amount of the change order. The contractor has essentially completed all of the work contained in the original contract and is now doing extra work. A condition of the contractor approving Change Order No. 6 mentioned above was that we would request the Commission to reduce the retainage on the project from 10}0' to 2.5%. The Economic Development Administration has given their written approval for the reduction in retainage provided the architect and the City Commizzion authorize it. The architect has submitted his written approval. 4EL: a o esolution attached 80-491
