H ~ ' '~ 8 ~ A RESOLUTION ALLOCATING $828,857 OF SIXTH YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED BY ORDINANCE N0. 9102, ADOPTED MAY 22, 1980, TO PREVIOUSLY APPROVED SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS FOR THE CONTRACT PERIOD COMMENCING JULY 1, 1980, AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1981; FURTHER AUTHORI7.ING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS WITH SAID APPROVED SOCIAL SERVICE PROGRAMS. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 80-105 on February 12, 1980, thereby authorizing the City Manager to submit a grant application to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the proposed Community Development Block Grant Program during 1980-81; and WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 80-190 aforemention grant application in accordance with an attached pro3ect allocation; and WHEREAS, funds have previously been appropriated by Ordinance No. 9102 to accomplish this purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. $828,857 of Community Development Block Grant ''T'1 0 ~ n ~ ~ ~ '"C~ r "' ~ O ~~~ "... i ;.• ~ "~l on March 19, 1980, thereby authorizing the City Manager to amend the Funds (6th year) previously appropriated by Ordinance No. 9102, adopted May 22, 1980, are hereby allocated as specified below: AGENCY (1) Allapattah Community Action, Inc. Resolution Allocating Sixth Year ' Community Development Funds to ~~ Approved Social Service Agencies ~~ Dena Spillman, Director ~.•~~~ Agenda Item for June 26, 1980 Community Development Department City Commission Meeting „-; It is recommended that the City Commission at its June 26th meeting allocate 5828,857 of Sixth Year Communit Develo - ment Block Grant funds to revious a roved soc al ser- vice a enc~es or t e erio a nnin Ju 80 an ending June 30, 1981, per the attached Reso ution. Funding for these agencies is included in the City's 6th year Community Develop- ment Block Grant application, as amended, to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which has been approved by the City Commission (Resolution No.'s 80-105; 80-190; and Motion ~~o. 80-240). On ~•1ay 22, 1980, the City Commission appropriated $11,376,000 for the Community Development Block Grant (sixth year), pursuant to Ordinance flo. 9102. The aforementioned $828,857 reflects a portion of the $11,376,000 appropriation. It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached Pesolution at its June 26, 1980, Commission Meeting.
