Ordinance Amending
the Summary Grant
Appropriations Ordinance
City Commission Meeting
June 26, 1980
It is recommended that the Grant
Appropriations Ordinance be
amended to establish a new trust
and agency fund to receive funds
from Dade County which will sup-
plement city funded programs in
the Little Havana target area,
and to appropriate these funds
for this purpose, per the
attached Ordinance.
At the time the Community Development Fifth Year social service
projects were being planned for implementation, Metropolitan
Dade County agreed to provide supplemental funds to two projects
already administered by the City of Miami. These were Little
Havana Community Center Day Care, for $27,100, and Little Havana
Transportation Program .for $10,000.
Over the past several months Dade County has paid $14,775.10 for
the Little Havana Community Center Day Care and $10,000.00 for
Little Havana Transportation Program. In order for these funds
to be appropriated to the proper accounts the attached amendment
to the Grant Appropriations Ordinance is necessary, and approval
is recommended.
