Amendment to Section 39-24 (a)
of the Code. -
enkin ; Director
Dep,r ment o Stadiums and Marinas Copy of memo to City Attorney
Copy of draft Ordinance -
The present Ordinance No. 8828 governing Orange Bowl parking
establishes season parking rates for automobile parking during all
University games.
We have been requested to give some consideration in providing a
parking area near the Orange Bowl on a season basis for University
of Miami student parking.
We have reviewed our records and find that our parking lots to the
North and North West of the Stadium are the least used during
University of Miami football games and could accommodate season
student parking very easily.
Assuming the University of Miami is to play five (5) games at the
Orange Bowl, then it would be our intention to sell a season student
parking pass for $5.00.
The Department of Stadiums and Marinas recommends the adoption
of the enclosed Ordinance further amending Section*39-24 (a) of
the Code as amended.
