HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-80-0508k� w T 0 �c v r0 rn o ::kZ� +U)rn PESOLUTION NO. 8 0 - 5 08 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PROVIDE FOR THE SELECTION OF THE TRUSTEE,' UNDER THE TRUST INDENTURE, BY RECEIVING BIDS FOR SUCH TRUSTEESHIP FROM BANKING InSTITUTIONS IN THE CITY OF MIAMI THAT ARE QUALIFIED TO ADMI141STER TRUSTS. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. It is hereby found and determined that it is necessary and in the public interest to select the Trustee under the Trust Indenture securing the $60,000,000 Convention Center and Parking Garage Revenue Bonds by inviting bids for rendering such trustee services from banking institutions in The City of Miami that are qualified to administer the trusts under such trust indenture. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized and directed to invite bids for rendering such trustee services, from such banking institutions determined by him to be qualified to administer such trusts and requiring that each bid submitted shall state (a) the principal amount of Convention Center and Parking Garage Revenue Bonds of the City that the respective bidder agrees to purchase from any underwriter of such bonds,and (b) the fees and charges that such bidder shall charge for each of the categories of services to t rendered. Section 3. Such 4ids shall be received as promptly as practicable. The City Manager, upon analyzing the bids, is authorized and directeu to award the contract for such trustee services to such banking institution that submits the bid which, based on such analysis and in the judgement of the City Manager, is in the best interest of the City CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF J U N 3 0 1980 �;« 80-5I 8 Il ► j ii'��JLn l l' M ' "'"'"""'� and otherwise in the public interest to accept. Section 4. Upon selection of the trustee as herein authorized the City Manager is authorized and directed to insert the name of such trustee in the Official Statement, the Trust Indenture and the resolution authorizing the issuance of such bonds adopted on June 30, 1900 by the Commission.
