A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE TWO
INDIJIDUAJ CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENTS WITH TWO NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT AGEN-
CIES FOR THE PERIOD JULY 1, 1980 TO JUNE 30, 1981, FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $50,000 PER YEAR FOR EACH AGREEMENT, IN ORDER TO IMPLEMENT A NEIGH-
BORHOOD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, WITH FUNDS ALLOCATED THEREFOR FROM
THE SIXT; YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT.
A MOTIO?: DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ALLOCATE $1,500.00 AS AN IMMEDIATE
ADVANCE FOR THE 62ND STREET DEVELOPMENT CORP. TO PERMIT THEM TO MAKE AN
INITIAL DEPOSIT ON PROPERTY TO BE ACQUIRED, WITH THE UNDERSTAND THAT THESE
FUNDS WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM THE CITY'S COST OF ACQUIRING PROPERTY ADJACENT
TO AFRI,A% SQUARE PARE.

JOINT VI.TURE, FOR THE PURPOSE OF IMPLEMENTING AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
PROGRAM IN THE TARGET AREA OF EM SON -LITTLE RIVER FOR THE CONTRACT PERIOD
COMMEN(_NG JULY 1, 1980 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 1981; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AN
AUTOMAT IC ALLOCATION TO EDISON-BUENA VISTA LDC IN THE EVENT THERE IS NON-

OF ELE(TRICITY, PLRSONNEL AND OTHER RELATED EXPENSES.

MIDONC PRIMARY SCHOOL EXHIBITION TEAM OF KOREA IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE
OF TH'. COCONUT GROVE EXHIBITION CENTER ON AUGUEST 3, 1980 FOR THE PURPOSE
OF ENIIBITIOG THEIR CULTURAL TALENTS IN THE ART OF TAE-KWON-DOE, PROVIDED
THEY AGREE TO PAY ATTENDANT EXPENSES SUCH AS ELECTRICITY, INSURANCE,
SECURITY, CLEAN UP OF THE PLACE ON COMPLETION, ETC.

CONNELLY, COOKIE COACH CO. OF FLORIDA, INC., IN CONNECTION WITH PROPOSED USE
OF COACHES IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA TO VEND COOKIES, REQUESTING OF THE ADMINISTR
:ION TO CONSULT WITH THE MIAMI POLICE DEPARTMENT TRAFFIC DIVISION, THE DOWN-
TOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND THE DOWNTOWN MERCHANTS' ASSOCIATION TO
DETERMINE WHAT THEIR OPINION IS AS TO POTENTIAL PROBLEMS IN CONNECTION WITH
THE TRAFFIC SITUATION WHICH COULD BE CREATED BY THIS REQUEST.

c) EXPEDITING DEVELOPMENT OF ADDITIONAL PARKING AREAS
d) EXPEDITING STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND BEAUTIFICATION, etc.,
AS MORE FULLY OUTLINED IN TYPEWRITTEN REQUESTS PRESENTED TO THE CITY COM-
MISSION AT THE TIME OF THE HEARING. SUCH CITY COMMISSION APPROVAL CONDITI
UPON BOTH GROUPS GETTING TOGETHER WITH THE ADMINISTRATION AND PREPARING A
jC)INT PLAN TO BE PRESENTED TO THE COMMISSION FOR FINAL CONSIDERATION AND
APPROVAL, AND FURTHER REQUESTING THE ADMINISTRATION TO RESEARCH POSSIBLE
SOURCES OF FUNDING FOR THIS PROJECT.
A MOTION APPROVING IN PRINCIPLE THE PROPOSED COURSE OF ACTION FOR THE DE-
VELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF THE AFRICAN TRADE FAIR AS FULLY OUTLINED IN
MEMORANDUM DATED JULY 2, 1980 FROM HOWARD GARY TO JOSEPH GRASSIE AND
PRESENTED TO THE CITY COMMISSION ON THIS DATE.
UiRECIION TO 1HE ADMINISTRATION: The City Manager was directed to find and
expend the necessary funds for the appropriate photograph and frame of
rtcire� Fire Chief Donald Hickman, for the new Administration Building.
RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 2 OF RESOLUTION 80-407 ADOPTED JUNE 6, 1980.
ENTITLED: "A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO DEMOLISH UNSAFE STRh
AS A RESULT OF THE MAY 17-19, 1980, CIVIL DISTURBANCES WITHOUT ASSESING
THE PROPERTY OWNERS THE DEMOLITION ANT► CLEARANCE COSTS.
