FROM MINORITY CONTRACTORS WHERE NECESSARY OR

$247,000 OF 5TH YEAR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
CONTINGENCY FUNDS FOR THE DEMOLITION PROGRAM.

WHEREAS, the civil disturbance which took place within the past

collapsing and are therefore a menace to the safety and health of the

unsafe structures made so as a result of the May 17-19, 1980, civil

disturbances without assessing the property owners the demolition and
• clearance costs; provided, such demolition and clearance be also
authorized by said owners and interested parties.

Section 2. The City Manager is hereby requested to solicit
offers from minority contractors where necessary or proper to perform
the said demolition services.
Section 3. The amount of $247,000 from 5th year Community
Development contingency funds is hereby allocated for the herein
demolition program.

himself in regard to all condit-ions pertaining.to the place
where the work is to be done, and fully satisfy himself relative
to the work to be performed prior to submitting his Bid. The
contractor should bear in mind that the adjacent property will
be occupied during the performance of the work. It will be
necns!sary for the contractor to use reasonable diligence and
cooperate with the Engineer during the execution of Lhis
contract.
3. SATmAGE' REMOVAL AND DISPOSAL
All material and debris, re sult-ing from the contractors
