HomeMy WebLinkAboutO-09137LCD/slm AMENDMENT NO. 28 TO ORDINANCE NO. 9000 - 7/11/80 ORDINANCE Mr. ,AI 17 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2 AND 5 OF ORDINANCE NO. 9000, ADOPTED OCTOBER 17, 1979, THE ANNUAL APPROPRIATIONS ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1980, AS AMENDED; BY APPROPRIATING INTO THE INTERNAL SERVICE FUNDS, BUILDING AND VEHICLE MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT, COMMUNICATIONS MAINTENANCE DIVISION, FROM THE COMMUNICATIONS MAINTENANCE DIVISION, RETAINED EARNINGS, AN 41OUNT OF $70,000; TO ENABLE AN INTERFUND TRANSFER OF SAID AMOUNT TO THE PROPERTY MAINTENANCE DIVISION; FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING FUNDS FOR INCREASED COSTS IN BUILDING AND ELECTRICAL SUPPLIES AND OUTSIDE MAINTENANCE SERVICES; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND DISPENSING WITH THE REQUIREMENT OF READING SAME ON TWO SEPARATE DAYS BY A VOTE OF NOT LESS THAN FOUR -FIFTHS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION. WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 9000 on October 17, 1979, establishing revenues and appropriations for the City of Miami, Florida, for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1980; and WHEREAS, the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance has requested an increase of $70,000 in the appropriation for the Property Maintenance Division; and WHEREAS, these funds are needed due to increased costs in building and electrical supplies and outside maintenance services in order to complete the remaining maintenance jobs for FY'80; and WHEREAS, an amount of $70,000 is available from the Communications Maintenance Division, Retained Earnings, and can be appropriated into the Communications Maintenance Division to be transferred to the Property Maintenance Division for the aforementioned purpose; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Sections 2 and 5 of Ordinance No. 9000, adopted October 17, 1979, the Annual Appropriations Ordinance for the fiscal year ending September 30, 1980, are hereby amended in the following particulars:-V "Section 2. The following activities, which are carried on for the service and convenience of other funds, shall be operated by the City Manager within the limits of the appropriations provided in the foregoing Departments, Boards, Offices, and accounts of the City of Miami and other revenues or receipts which may be received: INTERNAL SERVICE FUNDS Appropriation Communications Maintenance $---839,636 $ 909$585 Property Maintenance $-4,9347386 $ 2,004,305 TOTAL INTERNAL SERVICE FUNDS $447666T333 $11,805,823 Section 5. The herein appropriation of $70,000 into the Internal Service Funds, Building and Vehicle Maintenance, Communications Maintenance Division, from Retained Earnings of said division, is to enable the transfer of said amount to the Property Maintenance Division for the purpose of providing additional funds for increased costs in building and electrical supplies and outside maintenance services. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 4. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is declared invalid, the remaining provi- sions of this ordinance shall be affected. Section 5. The requirement of reading this ordinance on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by a vote of not less than four -fifths of the members of the Commission.
