The City of Miami will utilize two City -owned lots to construct
a City park, 0ith the funds generated with this grant. These
lots had been purchased some six years ago with the intention of
turning them into City parks. This could not be accomplished
before for lack of funds and manpower.
Attached are copies of the appraisals conducted for these two lots
in 1973. Considering the tremendous growth in real estate values
in the center city, we may safely assume these values are very
underestimated.
The City will assign $250,000 of the value of these two lots as the
required match to this program.
