AT A COST OF $1,975.00; BID OF HECTOR TURF & GARDEN AT A COST OF $14,960.00; AT A TOTAL COST OF $257,287.:2; ALLOCATING FUND AS FOLLOWS: GARAGE REPLACEMENT RESERVE FUND $250,352.32, MOTOR POOL RESERVE FUND $11,220.00, STADIUMS & MARINAS CAPITAL EQUIPMENT BUDGET $5,715.00; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE PURCHASING AGENT TO ISSUE PURCHASE ORDERS FOR THIS EQUIPMENT. WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received July 11, 1980 for the furnishing of Heavy Equipment for the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 22 potential suppliers and 13 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the Garage Replacement Reserve Fund, Motor Pool Reserve Fund, and the Stadiums and Marinas Capital Equipment budget; and WHEREAS, this equipment is being purchased by the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance for the use of other departments in maintaining services to the citizens; and WHEREAS, they City Manager and the Department of Building and Vehicle Maintenance recommend that the bids received from Jet -Vac Sanitary Service, Inc., International Harvester Co., Kut-Kwik Corporation, DeBra Turf & Industrial Equipment co., and Hector Turf & Garden be accepted as the most advantageous bids to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1.
