WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received July 2, 1980 for the furnishing of photographic supplies as required, City wide on a Contract basis for one year; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to 8 potential suppliers and 4 bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available in the 1979-80 Operating budget; and and WHEREAS, these materials will. be used by all Departments of. the City; WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that the bid received from Pitman Photo, Inc. be accepted as the most advantageous bid to the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1, The July 2, 1980 bid of Pitman Photo, Inc. for furnishing photographic supplies as required, City wide, on a contract basis for one year from date of award at a total estimated cost of $55,000.00 is hereby accepted with funds hereby ai•located from the 1979-80 Operating budget. Section 2. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Purchasing Agent to issue the Purchase Orders for these materials. PASSED AND ADOPTED this_ 1•5 day of SEPTEMBER 1980. Invitations were mailed to 8 potential suppliers and 4 bids were received as per the attached tabulation. Funds for this purchase are available in the 1979-80 Operating Budget. Photographic Supplies and accessories including film, developing chemicals, photographic paper, filters, batteries, flash bulbs, film, and other supplies are used extensively by the Department of Police and to a lesser degree by other city departments. It is recommended that the award be made and a resolution be passed accepting the most advantageous bid as received from Pitman Photo, Inc. for furnishing photographic supplies, City wide, on a Contract basis for one year at an approximate cost of $55,000.00.
