IN THE PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $10,1111.00, BASE BID OF THE PROPOSAL, FOR ADMINISTRATION BUILDING - PARKING LOT FENCING; WITH MONIES THEREFOR ALLOCATED FROM THE ACCOUNT ENTITLED "SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS/NEW ADMINISTRATION BUILDING" IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,1111.00 TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST; ALLOCATING FROM SAID FUNDS THE AMOUNT OF $305.00 TO COVER THE COST OF SUCH ITEMS AS ADVERTISING, TESTING LABORATORIES, AND POSTAGE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT WITH SAID FIRM WHEREAS, sealed bids were received Auf ust 26, 1980 for ADMINISTRATION BUILDING - PARKING LOT FENCING; and WHEREAS, the City Manac;er reports that the $10,1111.00 bid o.r Quaid Installation, Inc., base bid of the proposal, Is the lowest responsible bid and recommends that a contract be awarded to said firm; and 14HEREAS, monies are available for the, propooed amount of the contract from the account entitled "Special Programs and Accounts/New Administration Building"; NOt'1, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE, CITY OF MIAMI, PLORIDA: Section 1. The August 26, 1980 bid of Quaid Installa- tion, Inc. irI the proposed amount of $10,1111.00 for the project entitled ADMINISTRA`i'ION BUILDING - PARKING LOT FI_NCING, for the base bid or the proposal., based on a lump sum nrice, is hereby acceptod at the price stated therein. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract on behalf of t•he City of Miami with Quaid Installation, Inc. for ADMINISTRATION BUILDING - PARKING LOT FENCING, base bid of the proposal.
