ORDINANCE NO. 9019, ADOPTED NOVEMBER 81
1979, THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT APPRO-
PRIATIONS ORDINANCE FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1980, AS
AMENDED; BY INCREASING THE APPROPRIATION
FOR II.B.5-, COCONUT GROVE BUSINESS AREA
DECORATIVE PEDESTRIAN -SCALE STREET
LIGHTING PROJECT, BY $24,100; AND
REDUCING II.C.2.1 S. W. 27 AVENUE
STREET IMPROVEMENTS, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$24,100; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION
AND A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND DISPENSING
WITH THE REQUIREMENT OF READING SAME ON
TWO SEPARATE DAYS BY A VOTE OF NOT LESS
THAN FOUR -FIFTHS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE
COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the City Commission adopted Ordinance
No. 9019 on November 8, 1979, establishing resources
and appropriations for the implementation of capital
improvements in the City of Miami for the fiscal year
ending September 30, 1980; and
WHEREAS, bids were received for the Coconut Grove
Business Area - Sidewalk and Street Lighting Modifications
(2nd Bidding) on August 15, 1980, which is a continuation
of item II.B.5., Coconut Grove Business Area Decorative
Pedestrian -Scale Street Lighting Project, and it is
anticipated this project will be awarded at the September 15,
1980 Commission meeting; and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Department
of Public Works that funding will not be required for
project II.C.2., S. W. 27th Avenue Improvements, during
the current fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, $24,100 is available from said project
for appropriation into the aforementioned project, II.B.5.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:

Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 9019,
adopted November 8, 1979, as amended, is hereby further
amended in the following particulars:l/
"Section 1. The following appropriations
hereby made by fund and project title
include previously authorized projects
and fund appropriations for implementation
of all municipal capital improvements
of the City of Miami, Florida. The
sources of revenue to support the herein
appropriations are hereby identified

Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances
insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Section 3. If any section, part of section,
paragraph, clause, phrase, or word of this ordinance is
declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this ordinance
shall not be affected.
Section 4. The requirement of reading this
ordinance on two separate days is hereby dispensed with
by a vote of not less than four -fifths of the members of
the Commission.

It is recommended that Amendment No.17
to Ordinance No. 9019 be approved to
provide an additional $24,100 for
modifications to the Coconut Grove
Business Area - Sidewalks and Street
Lighting Projects.
Bids were received August 15, 1980 for the Coconut Grove
Business Area - Sidewalks and Street Lighting Modif-JI-ca-
tions (2nd Bidding). We anticipate awarding this project
at the September 15, 1980 Commission meeting.
