We made a proposal, copy of which I am attaching for your in-
formation, to the Maritime Administration, in which we offer
our City as site, and our Department as Coordinator, of the
upcoming Twelfth Meeting of the Inter -American Permanent Committee
on Ports.
We included in our proposal a breakdown of the anticipated costs
of this meeting, which included a $500 as a coordinating fee for
the Department.
Such proposal has been accepted and a procurement authorization
letter for $6,000 has been sent to us to accomplish this task
(see attachment).
The attached Emergency Ordinance appropriates these funds in a
separate Trust & Agency account from which we can pay the costs
of producing such a meeting.
